The lower half of the recreation path from the Mt. Crested Butte Water District building to the Slate River bridge will remain closed for the next few weeks due to a re-decking project on the Boardwalk Bridge. Bikers and pedestrians should use Gothic Rd to connect to the upper rec path at the Mt. Crested Butte Water District building during the closure. As a reminder, pedestrians are not allowed to access the rec path by way of Moon Ridge Lane as it is private property and is considered trespassing.
The Town of Mt. Crested Butte is partnering with GV-HEAT to administer the GreenDeed Program Energy Efficiency Upgrade Program for deed-restricted residences. GV-HEAT is the Gunnison Valley Home Energy Advancement Team, managed by the Gunnison Valley Regional Housing Authority (GVRHA), which seeks to make households in the Gunnison Valley more efficient, affordable, and safe.
Tuesday, February 13, 2024, is the Special Election for the Town of Mt. Crested Butte. Please drop off your ballots by 7 pm to Town Hall, located at 911 Gothic Rd., Mt. Crested Butte, CO 81225. The ballot box is located inside Town Hall in the lobby area.

Join the Town of Mt. Crested Butte for a free lunch to learn, discuss, and provide feedback on the Town of Mt. CB’s draft landscaping design code update! This draft includes updated standards for water conservation efficiencies, native vegetation, defensible space, and runoff management as components of water conservation. This code update will help the Town accomplish several of the water conservation goals and policies included in the 2023 Mt. Crested Butte Master Plan.
