Mt. Crested Butte's Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks: Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 4 to 10 pm at the Red Lady Stage in the CBMR Base Area.

Join us for a free family-friendly concert and Independence Day celebration on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. Featuring live country music, food & beverage offerings by Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR), and children’s activities! We'll finish the evening with an Independence Day fireworks show starting at dark (fire danger permitting). Gates open at 3:30 pm.

Summer Meeting Schedule - Planning Commission

The Town of Mt. Crested Butte Planning Commission voted to move their summer meeting dates to accommodate music on Wednesday nights. 

Here is the updated Summer 2024 Planning Commission Meeting schedule:

Lower Rec. Path Closed

The lower half of the recreation path from the Mt. Crested Butte Water District building to the Slate River bridge will remain closed for the next few weeks due to a re-decking project on the Boardwalk Bridge. Bikers and pedestrians should use Gothic Rd to connect to the upper rec path at the Mt. Crested Butte Water District building during the closure. As a reminder, pedestrians are not allowed to access the rec path by way of Moon Ridge Lane as it is private property and is considered trespassing.

GreenDeed Energy Efficiency Upgrade Program for Deed-Restricted Residences - MTCB

The Town of Mt. Crested Butte is partnering with GV-HEAT to administer the GreenDeed Program Energy Efficiency Upgrade Program for deed-restricted residences. GV-HEAT is the Gunnison Valley Home Energy Advancement Team, managed by the Gunnison Valley Regional Housing Authority (GVRHA), which seeks to make households in the Gunnison Valley more efficient, affordable, and safe. 

Tuesday, February 13, 2024: MTCB Special Election

Tuesday, February 13, 2024, is the Special Election for the Town of Mt. Crested Butte. Please drop off your ballots by 7 pm to Town Hall, located at 911 Gothic Rd., Mt. Crested Butte, CO 81225. The ballot box is located inside Town Hall in the lobby area.
