Town Elections

Special Recall Election - February 13, 2024

On August 28, 2023 an affidavit to recall Councilor Roman Kolodziej was filed with the Town Clerk.

Approved petitions began to circulate on September 5, 2023.

The recall petition was timely filed and deemed sufficient on November 21, 2023.

Per State law, the town clerk submitted the Final Certificate of Sufficiency, to the governing body at the first meeting following expiration of the period within which a protest may be filed or at the first meeting of such body following the determination of a hearing officer that a petition is sufficient, whichever is later. Council then set a date for a recall election to be held not less than sixty (60) days nor more than one hundred twenty (120) days after filing of the recall petition unless within said period of time a general municipal election, a special municipal election or a general state election is to be held.

A copy of the recall petitions are on file and available for review in the City Clerk's office.

Town Council set the special election date of February 13, 2024, to be conducted by mail in ballot only.

If you would like to run for this council seat you must pick up a nomination petition in the Clerk's office.  The nomination petitions must be returned by 5pm on December 11, 2023.
