ADMISSIONS TAX GRANT IS NOW OPEN

The Admissions Tax Grant is now open for the fall/winter of 2022-23.

The primary intent of the Admissions Tax Grant is to attract new visitors to Mt. Crested Butte with a measurable return on investment and to increase sales tax revenue for the town while supporting local non-profits and businesses. The town desires to attract new people, as well as encourage repeat visitation to stimulate creativity to develop new events. 

Rec Path Closure

On Tuesday, August 30, GeoStabilization International (GSI) started working on the Rec. Path retaining wall below the Sewer Plant near Mt. Crested Butte and will be through most of September. Pedestrian and bike traffic will be diverted onto CR 317 north of the Meridian Lake turn-off to the sewer plant.

MT. CRESTED BUTTE ANNUAL TOWN PICNIC

The Town of Mt. Crested Butte is very excited to invite residents and homeowners of Mt. CB to the Annual Town Picnic! New this year, we're featuring local band, Sunny Downpour! Please bring a potluck dish for eight. The Town of Mt. CB will provide the main course and drinks.

Winter Experience Survey

The Town of Mt. Crested Butte is launching a recalibration of the draft master plan. To ensure a community-driven process, the town will have several engagement opportunities for our stakeholders, boards, and the public.

The first engagement opportunity is a winter experience survey to provide guidance to shape Mt. Crested Butte into a destination after the lifts stop spinning.

Downtown Development Authority Board Vacancy

The Mt. Crested Butte Town Council will be appointing two (2) members to the Downtown Development Authority Board at the Tuesday, May 17, 2022, meeting. These terms will run until June 2026.
