Short-Term Rental Complaint Instructions

To Submit a Short-Term Rental Complaint, please email strcomplaint@mtcb.colorado.gov. Please include relevant photos or documents if possible. It is best to report issues right away, while the guests are in-house, so the situation can be addressed quickly. 

Town staff can be reached during normal business hours, M-F 8 am-5 pm, at (970) 349-6632 ext. 106. 

After hours or emergent short-term rental complaints, please call Police Dispatch at (970) 641-8200 and you will be connected with a Mt. Crested Butte Police Officer.

You can also contact the local representative directly using the STR Directory: https://mtcb.munirevs.com/business-list/?cityid=322. Type the address of the STR property and press enter to find contact information for the Local Representative. The Local Representative is required to be available 24/7 to address guest-caused issues. Please report complaints to Town staff even if the issue is resolved by the Local Representative so they can be tracked.

Short-Term Rental Guests are expected to abide by Mt. Crested Butte's Good Neighbor Policy.
