Admission Sales Tax Form

The Town of  Mt. Crested Butte collects a 4% admissions tax for any event or program that starts or finishes the Mt.CB town limits to be utilized for transportation, marketing, and event sponsorship. If an organization is selling a ticket, charging admissions or registration fees for their program or event, they must collect an additional 4% to be remitted to the Town of Mt. Crested Butte.

Starting February 1st, 2023, the Town of Mt. Crested Butte has gone live with their new sales tax system, MUNIRevs, for all sales and admissions tax applications, and tax filing and remittance. 

For existing businesses, please contact MUNIRevs for your account number and activation code by email or by calling (888) 751-1911.

For new businesses:

1.    Visit MUNIRevs
2.    Register to the site using the link “New User? Register Here” 
3.    Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom of the main Business Center page. On the bottom left of the page is the link “Click here to register as the user of a new or link to an existing account.”  
4.    Select the option: “I have a new business and need to apply for a Sales Tax License”…second option on the screen.
5.    Complete application and click submit. Notification will be provided when license has been approved by Town staff.
