A section of the Mt. Crested Butte Recreation Path will be closed between the intersections of Gothic & Snowfall Drive, and Gothic & Snowmass Road from 10/1 through 10/15 for re-paving.
Please use the alternative route pictured above to access the recreation path during this time. There will be "closed" and "detour" signs placed along the path to direct bike and pedestrian traffic to the alternative routes.
📈Alternative route heading North (Uphill):
Cross Gothic Rd. at the intersection of Snowfall Drive and proceed up to Castle Rd. Then take Castle to the Black Bear Rec. Path and proceed to Hunter Hill/Snowmass Rd. Take Snowmass Rd. North to connect back to Gothic Rd. From there, pedestrians have the option to stay on the east side of Gothic Rd. or cross back to the west side of Gothic Rd.
📉Alternate route heading South (Downhill):
Cross Gothic Rd. at the intersection of Gothic Rd. and Snowmass Rd. Proceed South on Snowmass Rd. until the Hunter Hill intersection. Then take the Black Bear Rec. Path to Castle and Gothic Rd. intersection. Take Gothic Rd. down and cross Gothic Rd. at the intersection of Snowfall Drive.
