The Town of Mt. Crested Butte is looking to fill one vacant spot on the Planning Commission. This position replaces a current member’s appointment, which expires in April 2028.
Planning Commissioner duties include architectural design review, recommendations to the Town Council on planning applications such as subdivisions, planned unit developments, rezoning, lot line vacations and boundary line adjustments, variance requests, conditional use requests, signs, and formulating town planning policies. Generally, Planning Commission meetings are scheduled on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Planning Commission members receive $150.00 per attended meeting.
To qualify, applicants must be a resident of Mt. Crested Butte.
Interested citizens who meet the qualification may apply by submitting a letter of interest via email to nstarkebaum@mtcb.colorado.gov, or by mail to the Mt. Crested Butte Town Hall, PO Box 5800, Mt Crested Butte, CO 81225-5800, by Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 5 pm MDT. Interviews will be held at a later Town Council regular meeting.
